We had been looking for another horse to join our equine team for a while, but suitable candidates were few and far between with a large price tag and our search did not find anything suitable.
I am very grateful to a couple of clients who have advanced credit on their accounts meaning that we could continue our search. We heard of a young Irish horse at HSW equine in Kent so Summer and I went to view him. He ticked all the boxes and had hunted in Ireland so was most probably going to cope with the open country we have for hacking here. He had only come over from Northeren Ireland three weeks previously. It was close enough to send our own vet to check him over and a few days later I went to collect him.
It takes a while for a young horse to get used to work in a riding school and they have to be able to adjust to a variety of different riders, but Nigel is now taking selected clients and doing well.
