BHS and ABRS Approved Training to Stage 3 and PTT

We are an Examination Centre for the British Horse Society for Stages 1, 2, 3 and the Preliminary Teaching Test..We run 12 week courses prior to the exam, with a mock exam with a BHS Examiner during the final week. Also Riding and Road Safety courses are available throughout the summer months.

January 13th - June 22nd
BHS Stage 3 Course 24 weeks. Sundays 15.00 - 18.00. Jumping, Stable Management & Flatwork

March 21st - June 6th
BHS Stage 1 Course, 12 weeks. Fridays 18.00 - 20.30

Riding & Road Safety Exams
Dates for 2008 TBA .
Training Mon - Thurs 18.00 - 20.00 the week before.

June 13th - August 29th
BHS Stage 2 Course. 12 weeks. Fridays 18.00 - 20.30

September 2nd - November 18th
BHS Preliminary Teaching Test Course. 12 weeks. Sundays 16.00 - 18.00

Details on our courses

The Stage 3 course runs for 24 weeks January - June, Sundays 15.00 - 18.00. Training includes a jumping class, stable management and flatwork.

Stage 1 starts in March and is followed by the Stage 2 in June, Friday evenings 18.00 - 20.30.

The Preliminary Teaching Test course is Sundays 16.00 -18.00 and runs from September through to November.

Thursday mornings 9.00 -13.00 includes stable management, teaching / lungeing practice, dressage and jumping and is run by a BHSI Examiner.

Although the courses are aimed for students wishing to obtain the BHSAI, it is equally suitable for those just wanting to improve their riding, or perhaps become a horse or pony owner.

The costs vary - the more you train, the higher the discounts!
