Autumn 2011

Twinks and Kate Tysoe won the Advanced Novice at the cross-country event at the Mid-Surrey Pony Club field. At only five years old, Twinks is proving a real asset to our equine team. They flew around in style the closest to the bogey time to take the trophy and red rosette - a real achievment, especially since Kate is a weekly rider competing against riders on their own horses. Congratulations!

Congratulations also go to Kristabel Lanham -New and Zak, who picked up rosettes at both the cross-country events this Autumn.

Autumn 2010

It’s definitely Autumn! The fields have greened up again nicely after an exceptionally  dry summer and the new school surfaces seem to be standing up well . It’s nice not to be sloshing round in puddles the moment we get some rain. The area around the back of the hay barn is a good jumping surface now after topping it up with the old arena surface and now have a heavy roller to keep it firm. We had the last BHS exam (Stage 3) last week and all went well. The BHS tell me that we are one of the most popular Centres, which is a great compliment and have asked me to run an additional Stage 3 exam next year
Whizz’s colt, Domino,  is doing well now and is a great little chap. He runs over to me in the mornings when he see me, nickering and wanting to be scratched. Whizz seems sound now (the foal has her galloping all over the paddock!) so hopefully will be back in work after he is weaned.

Quest, Twinks, Bradley and Bailey made their debut at a cross-country competition at Ebbisham Farm a few weeks ago and got round successfully. Banoffee Pie, Ranger, Riley and Amy also went round. It is fun for both them and the riders and helps prevent the horses from becoming stale when they are jumping.
